I made this short a couple of years ago with video and pics taken by an associate on a site in northern Alberta. that site will remain nameless here, but you can probably figure it out on your own.
a bitchy-man, named after bitumen, is a type of scarecrow. it’s placed on tar sands tailings ponds to scare off water fowl, because dead and oily ducks are bad for the fossil fuel business.
