Bing Crosby in the dollar store

by dm gillis

they played Bing Crosby
in the dollar store today

Mele Kalikimaka, a
song of Christmas and
indicative of the Hawaiian
phonological system

Hawaiians just won’t allow
consonants at the end of syllables
or even consonant constellations
which seems cosmic to me and
unyielding all at once

but they found the Islands
so long ago
and Santa visits them every year

so I wonder
if they mustn’t be right
